Ginny is now potty training. I'm not being super strict with it but she is willing and wanting to try so we are doing our best. She envies her brothers underpants so I thought I could get her some, but then I was thinking maybe I could get some of those water proof ones. They are expensive. So I searched around and found this tutorial: http://itsourlongstory.blogspot.com/2012/01/diy-cloth-training-pants.html?m=1
I thought well that seems easy enough, but will they work for keeping the carpet dry when an 18 month old who is just starting to potty train wears them? I went to our consignment store, found some gerber training pants for half the cost and then went to joanns and bought $8 worth of material to make them leakproof. After washing, drying, cutting and sewing I now have my own finished training pants that work great. Ginny peed and they did not leak. If she had pant on they would be wet, but no puddles. So if you are looking to potty train I highly recommend this tutorial.
